Frontline Data Solutions is looking for a Principal Database Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain the databases that power its software platform. This role is highly technical and focused on building reliable, scalable, secure, and high-performance data systems that support both the product and customers. The ideal candidate has deep SQL Server expertise, strong database architecture skills, and extensive experience improving legacy systems and high-availability database environments.

- - Design and evolve database schemas and data models for new product features and long-term scalability.
- - Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and configuration improvements.
- - Analyze execution plans and improve data workflows in collaboration with engineering teams.
- - Implement and maintain backups, disaster recovery, replication, and high-availability processes.
- - Monitor database health and troubleshoot production incidents.
- - Manage database upgrades, patches, migrations, and operational improvements across environments.
- - Improve legacy database systems incrementally while maintaining reliability.
- - Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Technical Services teams to align data solutions with platform and customer needs.
- - Support secure, reliable, and scalable data systems for a SaaS platform.
Требования
- - 10+ years of experience with SQL Server and similar relational database systems.
- - Expert-level SQL knowledge, including query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
- - Strong background in database performance engineering.
- - Experience with database schema design, data modeling, and optimization.
- - Strong knowledge of high-availability database architectures.
- - Experience with replication, read replicas, and Availability Groups.
- - Proven ability to modernize and improve legacy databases.
- - Experience monitoring database health, troubleshooting incidents, and managing migrations.
- - Ability to explain complex database concepts clearly to technical and non-technical teams.
- - Strong collaboration skills with engineering, product, and technical services teams.
