Hungry Minds is looking for an Encyclopedia Editor to help create world-class encyclopedic content that is accurate, engaging, and visually compelling. This role combines research, writing, editing, fact-checking, and collaboration with experts, writers, illustrators, and designers to transform complex ideas into extraordinary knowledge experiences for a global audience.

- Research complex topics and transform them into clear encyclopedic content.
- Write, edit, and structure educational and knowledge-based materials.
- Ensure content is accurate, engaging, well-organized, and visually compelling.
- Collaborate with experts, writers, illustrators, designers, and creative teams.
- Review content for factual accuracy, clarity, consistency, and editorial quality.
- Simplify complex ideas without losing depth or meaning.
- Support the creation of high-quality cultural, educational, and publishing products.
- Maintain editorial standards across long-form content and visual knowledge formats.
- Provide feedback to writers and contributors.
- Help turn research materials into polished knowledge experiences.
- Ensure tone, structure, and content quality match Hungry Minds’ creative standards.
- Support production workflows for books, encyclopedic projects, and educational content.
Требования
- Strong experience in editing, writing, research, publishing, or educational content creation.
- Excellent English writing and editing skills.
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly and engagingly.
- Strong research and fact-checking skills.
- Experience working with encyclopedic, educational, scientific, historical, cultural, or long-form content is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and editorial judgment.
- Ability to collaborate with writers, experts, illustrators, and designers.
- Understanding of how text and visuals work together in publishing projects.
- Ability to organize large amounts of information into clear structures.
- Curiosity, creativity, and strong general knowledge.
- Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
- Experience in publishing, media, education, or creative studio work is a plus.
