Pragmatike is recruiting a Principal Fullstack Engineer for a fully remote role in the EMEA timezone. The position is for a European deep-tech company building a decentralized, energy-efficient alternative to traditional cloud providers. The role requires strong React and Node.js expertise, technical leadership, architectural ownership, and proven experience migrating monolithic systems to modern Single Page Applications. Fluent English is mandatory.

- Lead the design and development of scalable fullstack applications using React and Node.js.
- Own monolith-to-SPA migration strategies, including incremental decomposition, API design, and frontend re-architecture.
- Define and enforce frontend and backend architecture, patterns, and best practices.
- Act as technical lead for the fullstack domain by reviewing designs, mentoring engineers, and setting engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product, DevOps, and platform teams to align application architecture with infrastructure constraints.
- Design and maintain backend services and APIs, including REST and GraphQL.
- Improve application observability, performance, reliability, and resilience.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and growing senior engineering talent.
- Drive technical decision-making with a long-term platform mindset.

- Senior-level Staff or Principal experience as a Fullstack Engineer.
- Strong expertise in React and modern frontend ecosystems.
- Strong experience with SPA architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
- Strong Node.js backend development and API design experience.
- Hands-on experience migrating monolithic applications to SPA or modular architectures.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives end-to-end.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and technical trade-offs.
- Experience in fast-moving, product-driven environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical direction.
- Fluent English is mandatory.
