CapsLock Global /QA Team Lead
Overview
CapsLock is looking for a QA Team Lead to lead and scale its QA department. This role combines hands-on technical leadership in Playwright-based test automation with team management, QA process ownership, documentation, CI/CD reporting, and the development of a sustainable automation strategy for fast-moving web and landing page projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a QA team, including Manual QA and Automation QA engineers.
- Own and improve the Playwright-based test automation architecture.
- Define coding standards, testing structure, and automation conventions.
- Conduct code reviews and share QA automation best practices.
- Convert manual QA checklists and test cases into automated coverage where applicable.
- Monitor automation results and improve test stability and reliability.
- Work with DevOps to support CI/CD reporting using tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines and Allure.
- Plan sprint testing activities and manage workload distribution.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, track performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Oversee end-to-end QA processes from planning and documentation to execution and reporting.
- Review bug reports, test cases, test coverage, and QA documentation.
- Define and maintain QA metrics, including automation coverage and release quality indicators.
- Improve QA workflows to make testing faster, clearer, and better aligned with release cycles.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA.
- At least 3 years of experience in test automation.
- 2+ years of experience leading QA engineers or automation teams.
- Deep expertise with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable test automation architecture.
- Practical experience building automation frameworks for fast-changing web projects.
- Experience running automation in CI/CD environments.
- Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines, Allure, or similar tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to connect technical QA decisions with business priorities.
- English level B2 or higher.
- Experience with visual testing tools such as Playwright snapshots, Percy, or Applitools is a plus.
- ISTQB-level QA knowledge is a plus.
- Interest in AI-assisted testing is a plus.
