Overview
EXANTE is a global wealth-tech company providing centralized trading solutions and B2B financial infrastructure. The company is hiring an experienced Scala Developer to support and develop its trading platform backend, including microservices, HTTP API, FIX API, external connection points, and architecture optimization for performance and maintainability. The role is available across Armenia, Georgia remote, Poland remote, and Serbia, with remote, hybrid, or onsite options depending on location.
Responsibilities
- Support the existing extensive microservices codebase.
- Develop external connection points to the trading system, including backend interfaces, HTTP API, and FIX API.
- Optimize and modify the architecture of existing infrastructure to improve productivity and maintainability.
- Work with backend teams and report to the Back-end Director.
- Contribute to the development of EXANTE’s proprietary trading platform and financial infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Scala development experience.
- Knowledge of JVM multithreading models, including blocking, CAS, Future/Promise, and Actors.
- Understanding of functional programming concepts such as recursion, laziness, and pure functions.
- Experience with Scala collections and for-comprehensions.
- Knowledge of basic data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with Scala 2.x or 3.x, advanced functional programming, and type-level programming.
- Experience with Akka Actors, Akka Streams, Cats Effect, or ZIO.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience working with distributed remote teams.
- Fluent English.
