Overview
Courtyard by Marriott Yerevan is looking for a Reservations Clerk to handle reservation requests, changes, cancellations, and guest inquiries in a professional and service-oriented manner. The role focuses on identifying guest needs, checking room availability and rates, explaining reservation policies, entering data into the reservation system, and supporting a smooth guest booking experience.
Responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
- Identify guest reservation needs and recommend the appropriate room type.
- Verify room availability, rates, and reservation details.
- Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to guests.
- Accommodate and document special guest requests.
- Answer questions about hotel facilities, services, and room accommodations.
- Use sales techniques to help maximize hotel revenue.
- Input and access reservation data in the reservation system.
- Correctly code special reservation types such as complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent rates, and wholesale reservations.
- Follow proper escalation procedures for guest concerns.
- Maintain guest privacy, confidentiality, and Marriott service standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Good telephone etiquette.
- Customer-service mindset and ability to address guest needs.
